Chair of the Department of Surgery at PUMCH and a national authority on artificial joint replacement. Performed China's first bilateral hip joint replacement in a hemophilia patient, creating a historic precedent. Through extensive clinical research, first confirmed that DVT incidence after hip/knee replacement in Chinese patients reaches 30.8%, leading to the establishment of an effective antithrombotic protocol that reduced transfusion rate for simultaneous bilateral knee replacement from 85% to 45%. His hemophilia joint replacements achieve over 83% prosthesis survival rate at 20 years, reaching international-leading levels. Has helped countless patients with femoral head necrosis and severe osteoarthritis walk again.
