Qian Jiaming

With 40 years of clinical experience, Professor Qian is the former Chair of Gastroenterology at PUMCH and the national lead for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) diagnosis and treatment guidelines. Her greatest strength is providing definitive diagnoses for complex digestive diseases that patients have been unable to get diagnosed for years across the country — conditions like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, chronic pancreatitis, and unexplained liver injury. She led a nationwide public welfare project promoting IBD diagnosis and treatment standards, helping primary care physicians avoid detours.
