Zhao Yupei

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Honorary President of PUMCH, and widely recognized as China's foremost authority in pancreatic surgery — the "No.1 Scalpel" in the field. With over 40 years of clinical experience, he has dedicated his career to fighting pancreatic cancer, the "king of cancers." He led the development of China's own clinical guidelines for pancreatic cancer diagnosis and treatment, dramatically reducing surgical mortality. He was the first in China to perform robotic insulinoma surgery, pushing minimally invasive techniques to their limits. In complex pancreatic diseases, being treated by Academician Zhao means having the greatest chance of success. Holds Honorary Fellowship from the International College of Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons of England, and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
